Who is Saint Augustine Ballet?
Saint Augustine Ballet is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization dedicated to creating dance opportunities for students of dance and providing the community with quality ballet performances Our dancers gain valuable insights to the world of classical ballet by having the unique opportunity to perform side by side with professional guest artists. Saint Augustine Ballet invites all dancers from throughout Northeast Florida to audition for our shows regardless of their dance studio affiliation.
Each year we produce two full length ballets. In December, we present our signature production and a holiday favorite, The Nutcracker. Our second production occurs in the spring. Past shows have included Peter and the Wolf, The Ballet of Peter Pan and Midsummer Night’s Dream.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from all ticket sales, dance fees, and sponsorships go towards Saint Augustine Ballet’s operating expenses. This includes costumes, set designs, theater rental, advertising and promotion, talent fees, production fees, and liability insurance.
When and where are the performances?
Saint Augustine Ballet’s Alice in Wonderland will be performed May 12, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. and May 13 at 2:00pm at Lewis Auditorium at Flagler College, located at 14 Granada Street, Saint Augustine, FL 32084.
What is the cost of tickets and how may I purchase them?
Tickets are $30-35 per person with a $5 discount for seniors aged 65 and older or students aged 12 years and under. Babies (two and under) sitting on a parent’s lap are admitted free. All tickets are reserved seating.
May I exchange or get a refund for my tickets?
No. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable, nor do we handle exchanges of tickets. Please be sure to buy the proper day and time before you purchase your tickets.

Does Lewis Auditorium have Handicapped Seating Available?
Yes. Lewis Auditorium is wheelchair accessible. If you need handicap seating, you must call 855-222-2849 to purchase your tickets. You may also purchase them on-line at http://www.tututix.com/saintaugustineballet.
Can I purchase tickets online the day of the show?
No. Tickets will be available for purchase at Lewis Auditorium one hour prior to each performance. Our shows usually sell out, so we strongly recommend getting your tickets well in advance of the performance dates.
Are tickets available at the door?
Yes. The box office opens one hour before each show. We accept cash or local checks at the door. Theatre doors open 40 minutes prior to show time. We strongly recommend that you purchase your tickets ahead of time.
What about parking?
Please allow yourselves ample time to explore your parking options. There are a limited number of parking spaces directly behind Lewis Auditorium. Parking can also be found behind the Lightner Museum as well as along the streets around Lewis auditorium.
Another option is to park at the City’s parking garage and make the 10 minute walk south on Saint George Street towards the auditorium. Remember, there is a lot holiday traffic at the time of our Nutcracker performance.
Handicapped patrons are advised to arrange drop-off at the front of the auditorium while your ride finds a parking space.
Please remember to pay attention to the parking meters during the Saturday matinee. Meters must be paid until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The Nutcracker matinees run from 2:00 to 4:00p.m.
How long are the performances?
The Nutcracker, Including the intermission, you can expect to be at the performance for a total of 2 hours.
Our spring shows tend to run about 1 ½ hours -2 hours long.
Who can attend Saint Augustine Ballet performances? What ages?
Our productions are suitable for all ages. In fact, they provide a great introduction to ballet and classical music for young and old alike.
Ballet is not just for girls!
Men and boys are encouraged to attend our performances. We’ve heard they especially enjoy the battle scenes between King Rat and the Nutcracker, Drosselmeyer’s magic, the tap sequence in Act 2, and the athletic dancing of our professional dancers, both male and female. As we said, it’s a ballet the whole family can enjoy.
Will food and beverages be available at the auditorium?
Bottled water will be on sale and water fountains can be found in the lobby. There are a wide variety of restaurants located in downtown Saint Augustine for either pre or post show dining.
May we bring in snacks and beverages into the auditorium?
No. Flagler College does not allow food or drink inside Lewis Auditorium. We are, however encouraging our audience members to bring a canned good or two with them to the performance. All collected food will be donated to the St. Francis House Food Pantry. Please, do not bring any peanuts or peanut products to the auditorium as several of our dancers have severe peanut allergies.
Do you sell performance themed gifts or flowers in the lobby?
Yes. Our performance Boutique is open before each show, during intermission and after the show. It features an assortment of performance related items suitable for gift giving. Flower bouquets are also sold in the Boutique.
Is there a dress code?
No. Our patrons come wearing anything from casual to dressy.
May we take photos or make recordings using our cameras, cell phones or other electronic equipment?
No, we do not allow recordings or photographs to be taken by audience members. Professional photographers and Videographers are on hand to take still photos and video all of our productions. Purchase forms are available in the lobby to purchase DVD’s.
